3rd Grade Music

3rd Graders, here at Nisswa Elementary, perform at the Winter Concert for their main performance this year. In music, 3rd grade will have a piano unit and also a recorder unit. While the school provides the pianos, we highly encourage the student to purchase a recorder to use. Below are the details on each performance or singing opportunity and the recorder information. 

K-3 Veteran's Day

On November 11th, 2024, we will be celebrating Veteran's Day. The 3rd grade does not perform in front of the audience for the program but they are encouraged to sing from their sitting seat in the audience. If you select the button below, you will see the songs they will sing and several options for practicing. There are a total of 2 songs they learn for this opportunity.

Recorder Unit

The recorder unit is something we only do in 3rd and 4th grade. Students are welcome to purchase their recorders for a very small price and then are taught how to play them in class. 3rd Grade Winter Concert

This is a combined concert with 3rd and 4th Grade. 3rd Grade performs first followed by the 4th Grade and finally a combined piece. Each class will perform 4 numbers and then the final combined song for a grand total of 5 songs. See the songs below and a multitude of ways to practice them.
