6th Grade Choir
Sixth grade choir, directed by Mrs. Bingham and Mr. Aulie, is a non-auditioned introductory choir of 150 students open to all students in sixth grade. The choir is intended to strengthen singing and breathing skills, teach students to read music, and develop a love for music. Choir is a great opportunity for students to meet new friends, build confidence, work as a team, develop focus, relax and release endorphins. The 6th grade choir meets during first hour. Each student meets with a small group once a week and with the large group twice a week. 6th grade choir is held in the choir room at Forestview, and the choir gives two performances a year.

Concert Expectations
Every student in choir at Forestview is expected to follow a set of guidelines for dressing appropriately at choir concerts. An important part of being in choir is creating a sense of ensemble. In choir, we are able to create this ensemble through team building activities, developing a unified singing sound, and performing together as a group. Students are expected to make good, appropriate choices with concert clothing. Please contact us early in the year if you are concerned about finding appropriate clothing for concerts, and we will use our resources to try and help you. Appropriate attire includes long jeans (with no rips, tears, or large stains) and a solid color t-shirt. Please, no shirts with patterns, logos, or writing.
