8th Grade Orchestra

In 8th Grade Orchestra, students continue to build individual and ensemble skills as well as increase their musical literacy.  Class meets every other day on a rotating Day 1, Day 2 schedule for 50 minutes, opposite Phy Ed, Band, or Choir.  Day 1 and Day 2 Orchestras will perform separately on the December and May concerts.  8th Grade Orchestra is a graded class for credit.  Students are graded on individual recorded playing tests, occasional written work, progress and competence on concert music, music literacy, and overall attitude, participation, and preparation.
