Sinfonia Orchestra

Sinfonia Orchestra is open to students in grades 9-12 already playing in tune and with good tone. The ensemble meets daily and focuses on orchestral conventions, instrumental technique, and musical independence. Sinfonia Orchestra studies string repertoire from the Medieval period through the 21st Century. The orchestra may tour and performs at least three concerts a year. Entry into Sinfonia Orchestra is based on a spring audition and the following benchmarks:

• Violins:  Completion of Suzuki Book 3
• Violas:  Completion of Suzuki Book 2
• Cellos:  Completion of Suzuki Book 2
• Bass:    Completion of Suzuki Book 2
