Sinfonia Orchestra
Sinfonia Orchestra is open to students in grades 9-12 already playing in tune and with good tone. The ensemble meets daily and focuses on orchestral conventions, instrumental technique, and musical independence. Sinfonia Orchestra studies string repertoire from the Medieval period through the 21st Century. The orchestra may tour and performs at least three concerts a year. Entry into Sinfonia Orchestra is based on a spring audition and the following benchmarks:
- Violins: Completion of Suzuki Book 3
- Violas: Completion of Suzuki Book 2
- Cellos: Completion of Suzuki Book 2
- Bass: Completion of Suzuki Book 2
Spring Concert: May 17th, 2022 at 7pm in the Gichi-Ziibi Center for the Arts!
Our spring concert has arrived and will be taking place on May 17th, 2022 at 7pm in the Gichi Ziibi! We are so excited for this opportunity to showcase all that we have been working on this year. We will be playing music by Beethoven, Grieg, Holst and many others. Make sure you come for a night of good fun and fantastic musicianship!
