6th Grade Orchestra
Orchestra is open to all 6th graders at Forestview. Students can choose to learn how to play violin, viola, cello, or bass and no prior musical experience is necessary to join. Class meets during 7th hour and every Orchestra student is scheduled for three 25-minute classes per week. Many Orchestra students are also in Band or Choir.
6th graders spend most of their time in class practicing and passing songs in their Suzuki lesson books. However, students also work to develop ensemble skills as they prepare for their January and May concerts. Because Orchestra is run on an individualized basis, students are welcome to join at any time during 6th grade. See or contact Ms. Zander with questions.
