Band Final

Choose any three prompts from below and respond in at 300-500 words to each.  Make sure to use proper spelling and grammar.

1. What do you feel is an important thing you have learned in band this year? Why do you feel it is important? Remember, it does not have to be limited to musical things only.

2. What are some of your favorite moments from class or rehearsals this year?

3. Music can affect people in different ways. Tell me how music affects you, whether it is listening or performing it.

4. Why do you feel it is important to learn about music?

5. What are some of the things we learn in band that have very little to do with reading music or playing our instruments?!

6. Why do you enjoy being a member of the band? What is your favorite part?

7. What is your favorite piece of music we are performing on the concert, and why?!

8. What does learning an instrument and learning to read music teach you about who you are as a person?

9. Compare being a member of band to being a member of a sports team. What similarities are there? What differences?

10. What do you wish everyone knew about band that they might not know?

11. “Music educates the heart and the head.” Explain what this quote means to you.

12. How do you think your experiences in band are going to affect your life in the future?

13. How has being a member of the band changed you? What do you think your life would look like if you were not a member of the band?
